Best movies and shows to watch on Prime Video in United States

2352 top rated movies and shows are available to rent on Prime Video in United States right now. These are rent-only, so each one is paid for separately — the price is on the title page. Catalogues differ by country, so this is the Prime Video United States list, not the Indian one. Only titles rated 7.0 or higher with at least 100 votes make this page, so a single enthusiastic rating cannot push a film to the top.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to rent these in United States?

It differs per title and platform. Each title page shows the exact price in local currency and names the cheapest platform.

Why are these rent-only in United States?

Because no subscription platform in United States has licensed them, so renting or buying is the only legal way to watch.

How is "top rated" decided here?

A title needs a rating of 7.0 or higher out of 10, from at least 100 votes, to appear on this page. The rating comes from TMDB's audience score, plus OTTpath visitors' own star ratings where enough people have rated a title. We do not use IMDb or Rotten Tomatoes scores — those are licensed and not ours to republish.

Why does a film I like not appear?

Either it is rated below 7.0, or not enough people have rated it yet. The vote floor is there on purpose: without it a single 10/10 rating would put an unknown title above everything else.

Are these the best movies and shows in United States or everywhere?

These are the highest rated movies and shows that are actually available on Prime Video in United States right now. A better-rated film that nobody can stream here is left out, because this page is about what you can watch today.
