Story
This documentary examines the tradition of final meals given to death row inmates, exploring how a practice rooted in historical ritual has become disconnected from its original meaning. The film follows Brian Price, a former chef who prepared over 200 last meals while imprisoned in a Texas penitentiary. Through Price's perspective and conversations with others connected to capital punishment, the film investigates the contradictions between the symbolic intent of this custom and its contemporary application.
