163 free Top rated movies and shows are available on Plex in New Zealand right now. All of these are free and legal in New Zealand, usually with ads. Nothing here needs a subscription. Catalogues differ by country, so this is the Plex New Zealand list, not the Indian one. Only titles rated 7.0 or higher with at least 100 votes make this page, so a single enthusiastic rating cannot push a film to the top.

Frequently asked questions

Are these really free in New Zealand?

Yes. All 163 are free to watch on Plex in New Zealand, usually with ads. None of them need a subscription or a rental.

Is it legal to watch these free in New Zealand?

Yes. Every platform here is licensed to show these titles in New Zealand. The links go to the official platform — OTTpath has no piracy links.

How is "top rated" decided here?

A title needs a rating of 7.0 or higher out of 10, from at least 100 votes, to appear on this page. The rating comes from TMDB's audience score, plus OTTpath visitors' own star ratings where enough people have rated a title. We do not use IMDb or Rotten Tomatoes scores — those are licensed and not ours to republish.

Why does a film I like not appear?

Either it is rated below 7.0, or not enough people have rated it yet. The vote floor is there on purpose: without it a single 10/10 rating would put an unknown title above everything else.

Are these the best movies and shows in New Zealand or everywhere?

These are the highest rated movies and shows that are actually available on Plex in New Zealand right now. A better-rated film that nobody can stream here is left out, because this page is about what you can watch today.
