Where to watch Sunny Night (2017)

Story

This documentary essay traces Georgia's journey from 1989 onwards, examining how the nation has transformed through political upheaval, social movements, and religious shifts since independence. At the centre of these sweeping changes stands the Georgian Patriarch, a figure of continuity across three decades. Through archival footage, varied visual sources, and multiple perspectives, the film explores how religious identity has shaped the country's evolving landscape, including moments of intense public mobilisation and conflict.
