Where to watch Krai (2021)

Story

A Russian filmmaker returns to his childhood village with a production team, ostensibly to scout locations for a period drama. However, the project evolves into something more collaborative as local residents become active participants in the creative process. The boundary between documentary authenticity and artistic interpretation blurs as the community shapes the narrative. What emerges is a hybrid work that weaves genuine footage with storytelling informed by the villagers themselves, exploring how cinema can bridge personal memory and collective experience.
