Story
After a failed attempt to scale the Matterhorn, mountaineer Edward Whymper forms a bond with Italian guide Jean Antoine Carrel, and they resolve to reach the summit together. Their partnership faces obstacles when villagers work to create tension between them, pushing both men to join competing expeditions. The film follows their separate journeys up the mountain as they race against each other, drawing inspiration from the true story of Whymper's historic 1865 climb.
