Story
This musical documentary explores East Germany's ambitious space exploration efforts through an unconventional lens. The film chronicles an experimental space colonization project called 'wundertüte,' blending archival materials, spoken narratives, personal correspondence, and vintage songs to construct its narrative. The program drew inspiration from the avant-garde Soviet artistic movements of the 1920s alongside the countercultural spirit of 1970s West Germany, creating a unique cultural intersection rarely documented in cinema.
