Story
This experimental film documents a journey two filmmakers took to Russia in 1990, revisiting and transforming that experience nearly a decade later. The work combines their original super-8 recordings with historical footage and references to influential cinema, presented across dual screens. The result blends personal documentary with archival material to create a meditation on time, memory, and the act of filmmaking itself.
Why watch
- Experimental dual-screen format offers a unique visual approach to documentary storytelling
- Incorporates archival footage and references to classic Soviet cinema pioneers
- Explores the relationship between personal memory and historical documentation
Good for: Viewers interested in avant-garde and experimental cinema will find this short film engaging; it's a drama best suited for adult audiences with interest in film art forms.
