Story
In Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Malawi, thousands of displaced people live in cramped conditions after the site was converted from a former prison. Young residents discover spoken word poetry as a means to process their experiences and emotions. Once annually, the Tumaini Festival brings the community together in celebration, offering a temporary reprieve from the hardships of camp life. The film follows these teenagers as they find their voices through verse.
