Story

This experimental short film reimagines a 1943 documentary through a contemporary lens. Welsh miners from a small village perform a historical reenactment, taking on roles that explore how communities respond to occupation and resistance. The work examines how sound functions as a tool of authority and investigates what happens when history is performed and repeated across time.

Why watch

  • Experimental documentary approach to historical storytelling and memory
  • Explores themes of labor, solidarity, and collective resistance
  • Seven-minute format offers a compact, thought-provoking viewing experience

Good for: Viewers interested in experimental cinema and historical documentary will appreciate this; not specifically designed for general family audiences.
