Story

After the Civil War, a Black veteran gains a stake in a ranch in the American South, alongside his Indian partner. Their presence provokes fierce resistance from former Confederate soldiers in the region who view them as threats. The film follows the tensions that arise as these newcomers attempt to establish themselves against the hostility of those unwilling to accept change in the post-war landscape.
