Story

In 1960s Chicago, before abortion became legal nationally, an underground network called Jane operated in defiance of law and social pressure. The group provided affordable and free abortion services to thousands of women when the procedure was criminalized across most of America. This documentary follows the women who risked their careers and safety to offer this clandestine support, challenging the state, religious institutions, and organized crime.
