Story
Set in 1930s Japanese-occupied Korea, a young woman named Sook-hee enters the household of a wealthy heiress, Lady Hideko, as a handmaiden. Living in isolation on a sprawling estate under her uncle's control, Hideko becomes the target of an elaborate scheme. Sook-hee, however, harbors her own agenda—she's a skilled pickpocket working alongside a con artist posing as a nobleman, all to access the heiress's substantial wealth.
