Story
Dr. Julian Blair becomes consumed by an obsession to bridge the gap between the living and the dead. Driven by his desire to make contact with those who have passed, he pursues increasingly unconventional methods in his scientific experiments. His quest leads him down a dark path as he becomes entangled in mysterious and dangerous circumstances.
Why watch
- Boris Karloff leads this 1941 horror-science fiction film directed by Edward Dmytryk
- A rare early 1940s exploration of supernatural themes through scientific experimentation
- Compact 65-minute runtime delivers classic horror atmosphere from Hollywood's golden age
Good for: Fans of vintage horror and science fiction will appreciate this, though the horror elements suggest it's best suited for adult viewers rather than families.
