Story

After completing a prison sentence, Max Washington finds himself back at the neighbourhood tap dance club where he once spent his time. He reconnects with Amy, who now teaches tap dancing there, though she's conflicted about his return. Amy's father, a seasoned performer at the club, sees potential in Max and wants to involve him in an upcoming show. Meanwhile, Max's former criminal associates have other plans for him, pulling him in a different direction.

Why watch

Features Gregory Hines and Savion Glover, celebrated tap dancers bringing their skills to the screen
Combines drama with music and dance performances throughout the narrative
Directed by Nick Castle and includes legendary performer Sammy Davis Jr. in the cast

Good for: Viewers interested in dance-centered drama, though the crime storyline means it's not necessarily suited for younger audiences.
