Story

This documentary explores the lives of two brothers navigating the aftermath of Iran's revolution, separated by exile and underground resistance. Director Daniel Asadi Faezi pieces together their personal story through letters discovered after three decades, creating an intimate portrait of a family divided by political upheaval and geographical distance. The film uses sparse visuals and correspondence to reveal how personal relationships endured across borders during a turbulent period.

Why watch

  • Intimate documentary approach to a significant historical moment in Iran
  • Director tells his own family's story through archival letters and correspondence
  • Minimalist filmmaking that focuses on personal narratives over spectacle

Good for: Viewers interested in personal histories and political documentaries; certificate status unknown, so check before watching with family.
