Story

This three-minute documentary explores the contrast between natural and manufactured landscapes through the lens of American football fields. Using satellite imagery from Google Earth, the film examines how standardised rectangular playing areas—120 yards long and 160 feet wide—create a visual pattern across the terrain. The work juxtaposes organic grass with synthetic surfaces, revealing how sports infrastructure shapes our relationship with the environment. An original score accompanies the aerial perspective.

Why watch

  • Experimental documentary format using Google Earth imagery for a unique visual approach
  • Explores environmental themes through the unexpected lens of sports infrastructure
  • Short runtime with original musical composition by Michel Banabila

Good for: Viewers interested in documentary art and environmental perspectives will appreciate this experimental short film.
