Story
A struggling lawyer faces eviction and decides to reinvent himself by posing as an elderly man to secure a place to stay. While living under this false identity, he develops feelings for the landlord's daughter. As his disguise becomes increasingly difficult to maintain, he finds himself caught in a series of unexpected situations that test his character and transform his life in ways he never anticipated.
Why watch
- Dev Anand and Nutan lead this 1957 Hindi comedy-drama with engaging performances
- Director Subodh Mukherji crafts a blend of humour, crime, and emotional drama
- A classic film that offers insight into Hindi cinema from the mid-20th century
Good for: Viewers interested in vintage Hindi cinema and comedy-dramas, though the genre mix suggests it may not be suitable for very young children.
