Where to watch NOEMA (1998)

Story

This experimental short film explores philosophical concepts through an unconventional lens. Director Scott Stark examines moments of stillness and transition within adult content, focusing on the spaces between action rather than the action itself. By isolating these quiet intervals—awkward repositioning, camera shifts to mundane objects like wall paintings or fireplace embers—the film transforms ordinary footage into something contemplative. A repetitive musical score accompanies these fragmented scenes, creating a meditative exploration of meaning within seemingly banal imagery.
