Story

A documentary-style portrait of three generations of women navigating life in a remote village settlement near the Danube Delta. When a new daughter arrives, existing tensions surface within the household. The film focuses on ten-year-old Maria, who shoulders responsibility for her younger siblings while contending with her grandmother's strict expectations and demands for obedience. Through unhurried observation, the director captures how tradition shapes childhood and family bonds in this isolated rural community.

Why watch

Intimate character study directed by Andreea Letitia Popa exploring generational dynamics
Slow-paced documentary examining rural family life and childhood responsibilities
Authentic portrayal of traditional village customs and relationships in Eastern Europe

Good for: Viewers interested in observational cinema and intimate family dramas; not recommended as general family entertainment.
