Where to watch Mahjong (2013)

Story

Set in Varziela, home to Portugal's largest Chinese community, this experimental drama follows a mysterious encounter involving a man in a hat and a vanished woman. The narrative weaves together fragmented images—a high-heeled shoe, a blonde wig, a traditional Chinese dress—as it explores the collision between Eastern and Western worlds. The film plays with perspective and identity, structuring its narrative like a game of chance where cardinal directions shift and certainties dissolve.
