Where to watch Magifique (2010)

Story

Choreographer Thierry Malandain brings together musical selections from three iconic Tchaikovsky ballets—The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and Swan Lake—to create an original ballet composition. Rather than presenting these works separately, Malandain weaves the orchestral pieces into a cohesive performance that reimagines classical ballet through a contemporary lens. The result is a unified artistic work that draws on the most memorable moments from these beloved classics while offering a fresh perspective on how traditional ballet music can be reinterpreted for modern audiences.
