Sumanta, a quiet middle-class office worker in Kolkata, finds himself trapped in a failing marriage while raising two children. His life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters his estranged father, a figure from his past who abandoned him in childhood. Through non-linear storytelling, the film weaves together Sumanta's present struggles with flashbacks to his father's own troubled life in a coastal village—a man whose infidelity and personal failures led to the destruction of his family. As Sumanta's wife confesses to an affair and leaves for America, father and son must confront the inherited traumas and unresolved wounds that bind them across decades.

Why watch
