Story
A couple awaiting the birth of their child faces an unimaginable nightmare when their newborn proves to be something far beyond ordinary. The infant becomes a danger to those around it, driven to violence by its own instinctive fears. As chaos unfolds, the family must grapple with the horrifying reality of their situation while authorities close in.
Why watch
- A distinctive 1974 sci-fi horror that blends creature feature concepts with domestic drama
- Director Larry Cohen crafts an unusual premise exploring parenthood through a genre lens
- John P. Ryan and Sharon Farrell anchor the film's exploration of an impossible family crisis
Good for: Horror and science fiction fans seeking unconventional creature narratives; not suitable for family viewing due to the genre's violent content.
