Where to watch Holy Wood (2003)

Story

This documentary follows the Ifugao people's approach to living in harmony with their environment through the pinugo system, which balances forest preservation with rice cultivation. The film expands into a travel narrative when a group of skilled woodcarvers journey to Japan to work on a special project at Takedera temple, where they carve a centuries-old lightning-struck tree into a totem pole.
