Story

A couple fleeing the violence in South Sudan arrives in a quiet English village seeking safety and a fresh start. However, their new home harbours dark secrets that begin to unravel as they try to build a life together. The film weaves together their personal struggles with the sinister forces that seem to permeate the town around them.

Why watch

  • Psychological horror that blends drama with supernatural elements in an unconventional setting
  • Strong performances from Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù and Wunmi Mosaku anchoring the narrative
  • Remi Weekes' directorial approach to exploring trauma through a genre lens

Good for: Viewers interested in horror-drama hybrids; not suitable for family viewing due to the genre's darker themes.
