Story
This documentary follows the journey of the Krnáč family, who relocated from Slovakia to Ukraine after World War II. When Soviet authorities annexed the region, they became trapped in a new reality. A government directive sent them thousands of miles away to settle in Belgarka, a remote village on the Kazakh steppe. The film chronicles how this family adapted to life in this desolate landscape, building a home far from everything they knew for over four decades.
