Where to watch Gina (2021)

Story

Marina returns to a prison she visited once as an infant, now as an elderly woman, to confront the history of her aunt Gina. Decades earlier, Gina was imprisoned as a political detainee in 1950s Yugoslavia. Through Marina's journey, the film examines how historical trauma reverberates through families and how long it takes to heal from such wounds. The narrative brings attention to women's experiences within the Yugoslav camp system, a largely untold chapter of regional history.
