Story

This experimental drama reimagines a historical thought experiment: what if the philosopher René Descartes had travelled to Brazil during the Dutch colonial period? The film follows Descartes as he ventures through an unfamiliar tropical landscape, consuming hallucinogenic plants that alter his perception. Confronted with phenomena that challenge rational thought, he grapples with questions of geometry, optics, and the nature of reality itself. The narrative explores how reason confronts the inexplicable.
