Story

This documentary explores the decline of the Slovenian language in southern Carinthia, Austria. Once spoken by nearly ninety percent of the region's population before 1910, it has now become a minority language with single-digit speakers. Director Andrina Mračnikar presents a personal investigation into how everyday life has eroded a mother tongue and examines the gap between constitutional protections and actual language preservation efforts.
