Story
This experimental video work combines contrasting visual elements—delicate, fleeting imagery alongside harsh, rapid sequences. The piece weaves together political upheaval, intimate domestic moments, and unsettling undertones into a layered montage. Through its dense collage of images, the work examines how contemporary media overwhelms audiences and creates a consuming, almost compulsive engagement with the constant stream of information surrounding us.
Why watch
- Experimental video art by director Carolee Schneemann exploring media and perception
- Nine-minute dual-channel installation condensed into an immersive viewing experience
- Combines political, domestic, and abstract visual elements in innovative montage form
Good for: Viewers interested in experimental and avant-garde video art; not conventional entertainment for general audiences.
