Story

This short film explores three objects passed down by the filmmaker's father before his death. Two of these items have been so worn by time that their original purpose is barely recognizable. The third appears familiar at first, yet reveals itself to be something unexpected. Through these mysterious artifacts and their histories, the film weaves together abstraction and concrete meaning, examining how memory can be contradictory and unreliable.

Why watch

  • A brief 5-minute experimental work by director John Smith
  • Explores themes of memory, inheritance, and personal history
  • Combines abstract concepts with tangible objects and storytelling

Good for: Viewers interested in experimental cinema and personal documentary work; certificate status unknown, so check before watching with family.
