Story

This four-minute animated documentary explores the tension between reality and representation through digital manipulation. A girl's energetic movements are isolated from her surroundings using computer algorithms, with her adversaries removed and the soundscape altered to intensify her emotional state. As fragments of the scene gradually emerge, the work questions the nature of what we're witnessing—examining how media processing shapes our perception of events and transforms documented moments into constructed narratives.

Why watch

  • Experimental animation that uses digital processing as a storytelling technique
  • Explores themes of media representation and reality in just four minutes
  • Directed by Guli Silberstein with a documentary approach to animation

Good for: Viewers interested in experimental animation and media criticism; certificate information unavailable, so check before watching with younger audiences.
