Story

After her mother Kyoko passes away, Akiko finds a collection of personal diaries left behind, spanning from 1964 onwards. Deciding to return her mother's ashes to Japan, Akiko embarks on a journey that becomes an exploration of her own identity and family history. The film weaves between two generations of women, connecting post-war Japan with 1960s France, as Akiko searches for answers about her mother's life and her own place within it.
