Story

A documentary that explores Brazil's environmental and political history through a personal lens. Director Heloísa Passos examines the destruction of the Seven Falls, a natural wonder submerged when the world's largest hydroelectric dam was built during Brazil's military dictatorship in the 1980s. Using recovered super-8 footage and archival materials, the film traces her father Alvaro's role as an engineer during this period, while revealing how their differing perspectives on this chapter of Brazilian history create tension between them.
