Two friends from Milwaukee create a hybrid sport that merges basketball with baseball rules. Their invention catches on and becomes wildly popular, leading to the establishment of a professional league with an unusual structure—all players earn equal salaries and teams cannot relocate. When a competing league owner attempts to reshape the game's fundamental rules, the pair must defend their creation and their team's place in the sport they invented.
