Story

This documentary explores Sunderland's experience during the First World War through archival materials and local records. The film presents perspectives from multiple angles—soldiers who served on the battlefield and civilians who contributed to the war effort through work in shipyards and munitions factories. By weaving together these different narratives, the film constructs a comprehensive picture of how the war touched the industrial city and its people.
