Story

This experimental animated documentary explores how language creates multiple meanings through wordplay and visual contradictions. The film pairs voice-over narration based on linguistic theory with imagery from magazines, using puns and visual associations to challenge how we interpret words and images together. By deliberately combining elements that clash with each other, the work investigates how cinema can simultaneously destroy and generate different meanings.

Why watch

  • A brief experimental film that playfully deconstructs English language ambiguities
  • Combines animation with documentary elements in an unconventional approach
  • Explores creative cinematic techniques through word and image games

Good for: Viewers interested in experimental cinema and linguistic concepts; not marketed as family entertainment.
