Story

This documentary follows a filmmaking experiment in Madinaty, a new satellite city built in the desert outside Cairo. Filmmakers Constanze Fischbeck and Daniel Kötter invited the Barakat family, residents of an informal Cairo neighbourhood, to spend four weeks exploring this developing urban space. Through multiple cameras and perspectives, the film documents how different people experience and interact with the architecture and environment of this emerging desert community.
