Story
This 1968 short film examines the brutal conflict during Angola's struggle for independence from Portuguese colonial rule. The narrative centers on an individual detained and subjected to torture by Portuguese military forces due to their support for the Angolan resistance movement. Filmed in Algiers, the work explores the profound disconnect and violence between colonizers and those resisting colonial occupation, drawing from a novel by imprisoned Angolan writer Luandino Vieira.
