Where to watch Deception by Design (2015) in UAE

Story

This documentary explores the surprising intersection of art and military strategy throughout modern warfare. From the trenches of World War I to the battlefields of World War II, creative professionals—painters, sculptors, and designers—developed innovative techniques to protect soldiers and confuse enemies. Using their understanding of perspective, shadow and visual illusion, they crafted elaborate camouflage schemes, constructed convincing decoys, and painted ships with striking patterns. The film traces how artists contributed to military deception through ingenious visual methods, and how camouflage later became reclaimed as an artistic practice in contemporary times.
